The Allies are finally on the verge of triumph after years of fighting. In hiding behind the Kremlin's walls, the Soviets resort to one last desperate act: the use of an experimental time travel device. The goal: to travel back in time and kill Albert Einstein before he develops the technology that would bring the Allies to victory. The Soviets return to the present after a successful operation to find the Allied position weakened. But, before they can properly rejoice, they discover that their activities have resulted in the emergence of a new menace and global superpower: the enigmatic, technologically sophisticated Empire of the Rising Sun.
